About This Course

Efficiency is currently the buzz word for many organisations and service operations. LEAN in Hospitality is designed for the hospitality industry. This course is specifically about reducing inefficiencies in the operational processes encountered daily in the hospitality industry.
The LEAN practices introduced in this course are based on concepts found in supply-chain LEAN but modified for relevant application in the service and hospitality industry such as restaurants, retail store inventory management and service processes.
This course aims to inculcate an “efficiency awareness” of daily processes and develop a renewed mindset. It enables the LEAN practitioner to be willing to consider and redesign “known job functions” to new job functions better suited for LEAN-based efficiencies.
