About This Course
This unit of competency specifies the knowledge,
skills and attitudes required of a WSH Coordinator
or Supervisor to identify the common safety & health
hazards and take appropriate control measures
while working in the metal working or other
manufacturing industry.
What You'll Learn
1. Explain and interpret salient WSH legislations and other requirements
relevant to the manufacturing industry
2. Describe the WSH duties and responsibilities of a supervisor in
manufacturing industry
3. Identify WSH hazards, evaluate and control risks in manufacturing
industry in accordance with risk management process
4. Carry out WSH inspections in accordance with organisational
inspection procedures
5. Implement WSH training and promotional programmes in accordance
with legal and other organisational requirements
6. Conduct incident investigation and prepare report in accordance with legal and other organisational requirements

Possess Employability Skills (ES) Workplace Literacy and Numeracy
