Thinking Memory Series : Basic Course for Adult Mental Wellness (Classroom and Asynchronous e-learning)
About This Course
The “Thinking Memory' programme developed by Dr. Refael Feuerstein is based on the late Prof. Reuven Feuerstein’s idea that memory is an active process of recreating reality. The goal of the program is to improve the awareness and control of memory functions of adult learners including older adults. This 60 hour programme starts with a dynamic assessment that provides you with a detailed cognitive profile. You will also take the dynamic assessment at the end so you can see progress in your own cognitive and memory abilities.
This course is designed for the volunteers or anyone who works in the care economy especially senior care. They will learn skills that will help them apply the skill of mediated learning to help others with memory and cognition. This course uses an online Learning Potential Assessment Device - Digital (LPAD-D) as a dynamic assessment to help provide a cognitive function profile so that individuals can be more targeted in their learning approach.
