Principles of Relational Database Design
About This Course
This two-day module provides an overview of data management, essential for successful data analysis. It emphasises the types and components of IT(Information Technology) infrastructure, applications of RDBMS(Relational Database Management System) and the phases of database designing. It introduces modern data management technologies like distributed DBMS(DataBase Management System) and covers aspects of database administration and security.
What You'll Learn
• Comprehend the different phases of database designing, spanning from requirement collection to physical design.
• Develop the ability to construct an DBMS(DataBase Management System) to support a data science pipeline.
• Familiar with data management technologies such as distributed DBMS, as well as database administration tasks and security measures.
Entry Requirements
• Participants should preferably have passed mathematics at least ‘O’ Level or equivalent.
• Participants should be conversant with basic IT skills such as software installation, file management and web navigation.
