About This Course
Music educators will find the current methods and pedagogical approaches to teaching music over the internet discussed in this module useful as they plan to better utilize the internet in their own music programmes through technology-enabled learning delivery. Learners will practise and apply their knowledge by teaching music students around the world in a variety of settings. Through this course, learners will be equipped with the skills necessary to thrive in the digital world of music teaching, and reach students across distances and timezones.
What You'll Learn
The course explores teaching music through online means. The online component of teaching is no longer an alternative in the 21st century, but a necessity. Music educators will learn the current methods and pedagogical approaches to teaching music over the Internet through technology-enabled learning delivery. Learners will practise and apply their knowledge by teaching music students around the world in a variety of settings. By the end of the module, learners are expected to be able to design online music lesson plans, formulate effective online teaching methods, use various technological platforms to deliver lessons online, record video-tutorials as instruction material, evaluate own teaching, as well as critique peers on teaching techniques and suggest ways to improve music performance.

At least 5 years of performing/teaching experience
and/or
successful outcome of the selection interview
