Sports Injuries - Understanding, Prevention and Management (Classroom and Asynchronous E-Learning)
About This Course
Participating in sports brings many health benefits and improves quality of life, but it also raises the risk of injuries. As more people become active, sports injuries are expected to increase, especially at higher performance levels. Each person faces different risks, injury patterns, and methods for prevention and treatment.
That's why educators, coaches, fitness trainers, and healthcare providers need to understand how to prevent injuries during sports. This course is for learners in physical education, sports coaching, exercise science, and healthcare. In Singapore, Healthier SG, led by the Ministry of Health (MOH), promotes preventive health. Learners can use what they learn here to help clients or the public stay safe and healthy. Learners will study both the basic principles and the latest research to better understand and manage sports injuries.
