1. appreciate the clinical and histological presentation of caries and endodontic diseases
2. understand the challenges of diagnosing pulpal condition, the available treatment modalities and the factors affecting the case selections
3. apply the use of bioceramic material and rotary instruments in safe and efficient manners

This course enables the oral healthcare professionals to provide appropriate care to allow patients to retain their teeth in function. In particular, this course imparts advanced and conservative technique that allows better retention of the tooth vitality, which is important in keeping patients' dentition in this aging population. Retention of the dentition is known to improve the quality of life of the patients. This would also help in bringing down the financial burden on the patients and the health system in Singapore.
