About This Course
This course provides training to ensure that participants are able to launch and take charge of a survival craft or rescue boat (other than a fast rescue boat), operate the survival craft engine, manage survivors and use locating devices.

Introduction & Safety, Abandon Ship drill procedures, Survival Craft (Lifeboat, Life craft), Launching arrangements, Evacuation and recovery of Lifeboat, Action to be taken when clear of ships, Lifeboat engine practical, Rescue Boat Outboard Motor (OBM), Handling Survival craft and rescue boat in rough weather, Actions to be taken when aboard a survival craft, Methods of Helicopter rescue, Hypothermia, Radio Equipment, Medical First Aid, Drills in launching life craft, Drills in launching and recovering lifeboat.
Entry Requirements
Participants must have sailed for at least 6 months onboard a ship
