About This Course
At the end of this course, participants will acquire skills and knowledge on:
1. Manage fire hazard
2. Supervise maintenance and renovation works
3. Fire Certificate inspection
- existence and importance of such yearly requirements by SCDF
- fire certificate inspection processes
- assisting building owner and fire safety manager in carrying out initial fire protection systems inspections and documenting inspections within the building before engaging a qualified person for endorsement and submission to SCDF for certification
What You'll Learn
The course equips participants with the skills and knowledge in fire protection systems and equipment in data centre environment. The skills include inspecting and testing of fire protection systems, managing renovation works by vendors and contractors. Participants will also learn to identify and manage fire hazards as well as prepare and conduct of SCDF/PE inspections for issuance of Fire Certificate. The purpose of Fire Certificate is to certify that a building is safe to function or operate for its intended purpose and that the building’s fire protection system are in good and working condition.
Entry Requirements
Basic computer and facility management knowledge. This course is conducted in English. Participants should be able to read and write in English to follow the course content effectively.
