Leading Change for Social Impact
About This Course
Leadership certainly involves managing change in ourselves and in others. Change is an unavoidable part of life, and yet, many people go to great lengths to avoid it. Many great challenges in our time have failed not because of a lack of tools, expertise or resources, but because of the inertia or the pushback in response to change. This inter-disciplinary course will adopt an experiential learning approach to let students understand the concept of leading change in the context of creating social impact. Students will think critically about issues of leadership, sustainability, inclusivity and social change, drawing on theories from various disciplines in psychology, neuroscience, economics, sociology, public policy and philosophy.
