About This Course
This module explores the principles and practices of sustainable and green procurement, emphasising the importance of integrating sustainability into procurement processes. Over 25 hours, students will learn about sustainable procurement principles, green supply chain management, the circular economy, and effective sustainability reporting metrics. The course will provide students with the tools and knowledge to implement sustainable practices in their procurement activities.
What You'll Learn
At the end of this programme, Learners will be able to;
LO1: Analyse the principles of sustainable procurement and their significance by assessing energy and resource utilization metrics and identifying gaps in energy efficiency.
LO2: Evaluate suppliers’ sustainability performance using defined criteria and propose tools or technologies to enhance energy and resource utilization within the organisation
LO3: Develop strategies for integrating sustainability into procurement processes by analyzing gaps and implementing an action plan in line with the organization’s sustainability strategy.
LO4: Monitor and report on sustainability performance by identifying gaps in energy and resource efficiency and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
LO5: Analyze the effectiveness of supplier engagement in sustainability initiatives and oversee the use of tools and methodologies to optimize resource utilization.

Entry Requirements
Min ‘N’ Level or Nitec or Equivalent or
be able to listen, speak, read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to Workplace Literacy (WPLN) Level 6.
Minimum one year working experience in any sector is preferred.
