The programme aims to prepare graduates for the emerging workplace of the fourth industrial revolution (also known as Industry 4.0), by equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to keep pace with the changes occurring in various industries (particularly manufacturing) due to technological disruption, and to lead transformation to enhance productivity in the workplace.

The MSc (Smart Industries and Digital Transformation), formerly MSc (Industry 4.0), is a multidisciplinary graduate degree programme that taps on the deep expertise of six NUS academic units in areas pertinent to Industry 4.0: Business School; School of Continuing and Lifelong Education; School of Computing; College of Design and Engineering; Faculty of Science and Institute of Systems Science.
