About This Course
The knowledge and application covered in Linux Essentials are:
o Developing the skills to effectively administer enterprise Linux systems.
o Mastering basic Linux system administration tasks, including access and navigation of the command line, files management and access control, user and group accounts management
o Manage and monitor Linux processes, network services and system daemons.
o Install and update software packages.
What You'll Learn
Entry Requirements
Applicants must satisfy at least one of the following entry requirements:
(i) Any diploma from a polytechnic* in Singapore
(ii) Any degree from a university** in Singapore
* NYP, NP, RP, SP, or TP
** NTU, NUS, SIT, SMU, SUSS, or SUTD (candidates with degrees from other universities are considered on a case-by-case basis)
Foreign equivalent qualifications or other qualifications will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test.
