Liquid Penetrant Testing Levels 1 and 2 Course (Combined)
About This Course
This course satisfies the formal training element of the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP-105 and NAS 410 / EN 4179 and is suitable for managers, engineers and technicians at all levels of experience that require familiarization or formal training for qualification in this subject. The training programme consists of both theoretical and practical hands-on application, allowing the student time to obtain a good foundation in this method of non destructive testing by practising a variety of inspection techniques under the supervision of qualified instructor(s) using different types, methods and sensitivity levels of penetrant systems. Participants will also have the opportunity to process and inspect parts in an actual Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) facility. Standards and specifications associated with the FPI process such as ASTM E1417 (latest revision) will be introduced and discussed in this course.
What You'll Learn
By the end of the Course, participants will be able to:
1) Process parts/components in an actual Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) facility.
2) Inspect parts/components in an actual Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) facility.
3) Develop FPI instructions and techniques.
