Pre-Board General Screener (Express)
About This Course
This course is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills required for the role of a Pre-Board Screener. In alignment with regulatory and operational standards, the program covers the full spectrum of pre-board screening processes, including the use of screening equipment, identification of prohibited items, and appropriate response procedures.
Developed in accordance with Airport Police Division (APD) requirements, this unit is a mandatory component for the deployment of any Pre-board General Screener within the airport setting.
Through a blended learning approach, participants will gain hands-on experience with tools such as Walk-Through Metal Detectors (WTMD), Hand-Held Metal Detectors (HHMD), Body Scanners, and Explosive Trace Detectors (ETD). Emphasis is also placed on the correct conduct of pat-down searches and manual bag inspections.
By the end of the course, learners will not only understand the principles behind aviation security screening but also be proficient in executing the tasks expected of them at security screening checkpoints—ensuring both safety and compliance in the airport environment.
