About This Course
This module builds the foundation of rehabilitation concepts and theories. It aims to provide theoretical basis for rehabilitation nursing care and understanding the significance of providing nursing care delivery that is integrated, comprehensive, appropriate and patient/family-centred, incorporating patient–defined goals.
What You'll Learn
Students will be introduced to concepts of disability models and theories to guide clinical practices decision relevant for rehabilitation. A broad overview of rehabilitation practices will be critically examined in topics such as developing rehabilitation goal setting and prognostication, promoting activities of daily living activities.
During the course of the module, students will have the opportunity to socialise, interact with fellow learners to develop strategies that can facilitate active involvement of the patients and families in the rehabilitation program. The students will be able to use models of practice that guide care in various rehabilitation settings. They will develop their skills to make effective decisions and lead activities on rehabilitation practices.

Entry Requirements
Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) registered nurses with minimum diploma in nursing and must have at least 2 years of work experience in nursing, of which at least 1 year must be in the relevant specialty field of any adult organ transplant.
