Introduction to Design Thinking and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Innovations
About This Course
In collaboration with A*STAR (Agency for Science, Technology and Research) and the Department of Biomedical Informatics, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, the workshop is tailored for healthcare professionals new to the field and eager to explore the synergy of Design Thinking with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare.
It highlights key concepts in AI, Large Language Models (LLM), and Machine Learning through speaker sharing and National University Health System (NUHS) use case discussions. Through group work, participants will also gain hands-on experience with the design thinking process in identifying unmet healthcare needs, defining problems, and crafting innovative solutions. By the end of the workshop, participants will be equipped with the knowledge to contribute to better healthcare delivery through the seamless integration of AI and empathetic design.
What You'll Learn
1. Understand the basic concepts and applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Large Language Models (LLMs) in the healthcare context.
2. Apply Design Thinking in the development of AI healthcare applications
3. Understand the development process of AI applications, i.e., business models, reimbursement, regulations, and intellectual property aspects.
