About This Course
The Diploma in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics) provides participants with a strong foundation in Electrical and Electronic (EE) Engineering and emerging skillsets in the areas of Industrial Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Data Visualisation and Analytics that will equip them for the diverse and dynamic EE industry.
This unique programme offers two specialisation tracks in specific fields of Electronic Communications and Microelectronics. These are high value-adding sectors in the EE industry with strong demand for skilled and trained professionals.
What You'll Learn
This module equips participants with theory and practical knowledge of electronic devices such as diodes, Bipolar Junction Transistors (BJT), various types of Field Effect Transistors (FET), and their applications in electrical and electronic circuits. It also focuses on the fundamentals of operational amplifiers and their applications. Students will develop essential hands-on skills in circuit prototyping, troubleshooting and testing in practical laboratory sessions. The curriculum is designed to include extensive use of circuit simulation software tools which will help reinforce the knowledge of circuit theories learnt in lessons.
