About This Course
This Higher Nitec in Technology - Vertical Transportation aims to equip students with skills and knowledge to maintain, service, troubleshoot, repair, inspect and test lift, escalator and moving walk in accordance with codes of practice, statutory requirements and engineering specifications.

Entry Requirements
3 O-Level Grades:
1 - 8 in English Language
1 - 7 in E-Math or A-Math
1 - 8 in one of the approved science-based subjects; or
Nitec in Technology;or
Nitec (Technical Skills);or
WPLN5 in Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing and Numeracy,and 1 year of relevant work experience; or
Completed 4 Foundation modules
Applicants who do not meet the above entry requirements will need to complete Foundation modules before taking Core/Specialisation modules.
Entry requirements for Foundation modules:
Completed N or O-Level; or
Passed BEST Module 4 in Maths (for those with work experience); or
Passed ISC (Technical Skills); or
Accumulated at least 60 hours of relevant structured OJT under COJTC; or
WPLN5 in Speaking and Listening, and WPLN4 in Reading and Numeracy
Applicants applying for this course must be free from colour appreciation deficiency.A score of 100% from the Colour Blindness Test taken at https://colormax.org/color-blind-test is mandatory for course admission.
