About This Course

This is a module under the Diploma in Design (Visual Communication).

What You'll Learn

This module provides students with an overview of applied design within real world commercial context, focusing on advertising with emphasis on the application of design and principles for the use of communication. This module will prepare students as a multi-faceted communicator, with opportunities for students to understand the basic fundamentals of brand communication. With these core areas (Copywriting, Advertising and Integrated Campaign) to cover for the semester long, this module will create an exciting culture for the budding advertising creative.

Entry Requirements

GCE ‘O’ Levels - 3 relevant passes and 1-year relevant working experience:
Subjects/ Min. Grade:
1. English Language - 6
2. Mathematics (Elemental or Additional) - 7
3. Any one other subject excluding CCA Grade - 6

FT Nitec - GPA > 3.5 OR GPA > 3.0 and 1 year of relevant working experience
PT Nitec in Technology/Services - GPA > 3.5 and 1 year of relevant working experience
FT Higher Nitec - GPA > 2.0 OR GPA > 1.5 and 1 year of relevant working experience
PT Higher Nitec in Technology/Services - GPA > 2.0 and 1 year of relevant working experience
WSQ Diploma - Relevant WSQ Advanced Certificate (or higher) with 1 year of relevant working experience and Level 6 for both WSQ Workplace Literacy SOA & Workplace Numeracy SOA.
Without any of the relevant academic qualifications - At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) - Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course
