Adaptive Leadership - Leading the Human Side of Change
About This Course
In every transformation, the hardest work is rarely structural—it is personal. Strategies may chart the direction, but it is people who carry change forward. Leading the Human Side of Change is designed for emerging and experienced leaders who recognise that sustainable transformation depends on how individuals and teams experience and internalise it. The programme explores the psychology of transition, revealing why even well-intentioned initiatives stall when human factors are overlooked.
In this 2-day workshop, participants will learn not only to see these dynamics, but to work with them. They assess where people are along the transition curve, use proven communication frameworks to build clarity and trust, and apply practical tools to manage emotions, resistance, and renewal. Through structured reflection, case work, and experiential exercises, participants practise how to hold meaningful conversations, restore motivation, and anchor new behaviours that align with strategic intent.
By the end of the programme, participants will be equipped with a structured yet human-centred approach to leading transitions—one that balances rigour with empathy, clarity with compassion. They will leave with an actionable plan to strengthen alignment, morale, and commitment within their teams, ensuring that change not only takes hold, but takes root.
The program will specifically enable participants to:
• Assess the impact of change on people and organizations.
• Determine where people are in the 3-phase transition process.
• Develop specific and focused strategies to guide the stakeholders through the key phases of transition in times of change.
• Build and develop their competencies and capabilities in managing organizational change.
A key outcome of the workshop will be the participants’ action plan for facilitating the transitional aspects of an actual organizational change effort in the workplace.
