About This Course
Through the practical knowledge of database management fundamentals,
learners will be proficient in applying MySQL and Mongo concepts to
efficiently manage the collection and storage of various
data types.
What You'll Learn
Learners will be able to:
● Gain a comprehensive understanding of Design relational databases, including defining entities, attributes, relationships, and constraints, using techniques like Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs). Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models to represent data structures and business rules used in data modelling.
● Write and execute SQL queries to retrieve, insert, update, and delete data; use advanced SQL features such as joins, subqueries, transactions, and stored procedures. Analyze and optimize database performance by using indexing, query optimization techniques, and database tuning.
● Install, configure, and administer a relational DBMS (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server), including user management, security, backup, and recovery.
● Employ AI techniques (e.g., machine learning) to improve query performance, such as predicting query execution plans or automatically creating indexes.
● Utilize AI tools to assist in database design, such as suggesting optimal data types, identifying potential design flaws, or generating ERDs from data requirements.

Entry Requirements
At least 3 GCE ‘O’ Level Passes including English Language with C6 pass or Higher Nitec or Equivalent
Be able to listen, speak, read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to WSQ Workplace Literacy (WPLN) Level 4.
Minimum Age Required: 21
