About This Course
This module will focus on advanced analytics use cases in Microsoft Excel, using the in-built Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and Power Pivot features to support learning. The objective is to enable participants to create simple summary and statistical insights within their business analytics solutions. This will be complemented by an introductory look at more advanced “predictive” techniques.
What You'll Learn
At the end of the 2-day module, participants will be able to:
• Employ Data Summary Analytics - using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) to create “Key Performance Indicator (KPI)” type measures
• Use Data Enrichment - using DAX merge, splice, and modify data for analyses
• Employ functions and features of “Power Pivot” - using Star Schemas to join data
• Gain insights on Feature Mining through exploratory and confirmatory analytics
• Understand Statistical Techniques by using simple statistical functions to reveal insight
• Learn about Forecasting Techniques by using forecast techniques to reveal insight
