Blockchain Analytics Fundamentals (Synchronous E-Learning)
About This Course
This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively analyse blockchain data using Python and other third-party tools. The course will offer participants a refresher on Python and analytical tools, and the basics concepts of blockchain data. It will also go through 3 different use cases where we utilise different analytics techniques to analyse swaps and liquidity on Automated Market Makers (AMMs), detect wash trading on Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) marketplaces, and analyse revenues and trends on Play-to-Earn (P2E) games. Through a combination on of theory and practical application, participants will develop the necessary skills to analyse blockchain data on their own.
What You'll Learn
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of blockchain technology and how it works
• Understand the basics of Python programming language and apply it to blockchain analytics
• Utilise various analytics libraries on Python to extract, transform and analyse blockchain data
• Describe descriptive analytics and how it can be applied to different types of blockchain data, including transaction data, account data, and state data
• Use JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Application Programming Interface (API) to extract and analyse blockchain data
• Analyse swaps and liquidity on AMMs, detect wash trading on NFT marketplaces, and analyse revenues and trends on P2E games using blockchain analytics techniques
• Utilise third-party tools such as SQL and visualization using Dune Analytics, querying data using The Graph protocol, and creating dashboards and projects using Flipside, to enhance their blockchain analytics capabilities
• Apply the learned techniques to real-world use cases in blockchain analytics
Entry Requirements
Participants should preferably have basic experience in SQL and Python programming.
