CM-400 Crisis Management Manager (Classroom)

• Learners will identify the roles, responsibilities, structure, and composition of a Crisis Management Team (CMT), gaining a clear understanding of crisis management principles and distinguishing between crises and incidents. They will analyze the phases and activities of pre-crisis, crisis, and post-crisis stages, developing crisis notification and escalation processes to enhance organizational preparedness.

• Learners will demonstrate their ability to establish crisis communication strategies by identifying stakeholders, selecting appropriate communication methods, and applying media management techniques. They will showcase their proficiency in crisis leadership by recognizing key leadership characteristics, principles, and competencies essential for guiding organizations through crises.

• Learners will apply international standards, such as ISO 22300 and ISO 22320, to crisis management frameworks, command center operations, and emergency response planning. They will define the functions of a crisis command center, understanding its terminology, structure, and operational requirements to support crisis response efforts effectively.

• Learners will design and implement training and awareness programs tailored to different audiences within an organization. They will develop corporate training methodologies, establish functional and awareness training requirements, and schedule crisis management exercises to enhance preparedness and response capabilities.

• Learners will conduct crisis management testing and exercises by identifying the types of tests, defining objectives, and executing integrated and simulation exercises. They will develop test schedules, assess simulation effectiveness, and apply structured methodologies to validate crisis management functionalities and improve organizational resilience.
