What You'll Learn

The Certificate in Applied Chemistry & Data Analytics provides participants with knowledge in organic chemistry, data analytics, and biochemistry. It covers the fundamentals of organic synthesis and reaction mechanisms, including stereochemistry, kinetics, and various types of reactions. Participants will also gain skills in applying data analysis tools for predictive modelling, visualisation, and automated alert systems using both offline and streaming data. In addition, the course introduces the structure and functions of biomolecules such as proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids, along with enzyme functions and cellular energy roles.

Entry Requirements

• The participant shall be Singapore Citizens (“SC”), Singapore Permanent Residents (“PR”) or Long-Term Visit Pass Plus (LTVP+) Holders.
• The participant shall be fresh graduates with full-time Institute of Technical Education (ITE) NITEC/ Higher NITEC from the relevant fields.
• The participant shall be within 36 months after their graduation from the PSEI (graduation date as stated on the NITEC/Higher NITEC certificates). For male participants who need to serve National Service, the 36-month period will start from the Operationally Ready Date (“ORD”).
• ITE graduates from other NITEC/Higher NITEC courses may also apply and the application will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Participant who does not falls under any eligibility mentioned above will be considered if IHLs and employer deem candidate suitable for WSP.
