Design Web Client and Service Architecture: Servers, Protocols, and Security
About This Course
In this module, participants will explore the fundamentals of web technologies, including server operation, enterprise architectures, protocols, and programming languages. The module also covers common vulnerabilities in web application frameworks, servers, and technologies, as well as authentication and authorization mechanisms. Through practical exercises, learners will gain hands-on experience in assessing and securing web applications, ensuring they can identify and mitigate security risks effectively.
What You'll Learn
LO2: Understand and analyze web protocols such as HTTP and HTTPS, including all HTTP methods, response codes, and security-related header fields.
LO3: Utilize web mark-up languages like HTML and XML.
LO4: Assess applications using common web programming languages such as JSP, ASP, PHP, CGI-based Perl, and JavaScript.
LO5: Recognize vulnerabilities in common application frameworks and servers, including .NET, Ruby on Rails, and AJAX.
