Play, Paint, and Problem-Solve: Fostering Early Numeracy Through Process Art
About This Course
This interactive course aims to empower early childhood educators working with children from birth to 4 years old by providing practical tools and strategies to nurture children’s natural curiosity in exploring, discovering, and problem-solving through sensory experiences. With a focus on the process of creation and problem-solving, participants will explore how to use process art and loose parts play to encourage sensory engagement, spark creativity, and help children recognise patterns and relationships in their environment. Through the hands-on experiences, participants will be able to understand how sensory experiences, such as touch, sight, and smell; foster curiosity and creativity, and support children's cognitive, emotional, and physical development. Participants will understand how to design and facilitate process art and early numeracy experiences that emphasise exploration, creativity, and problem-solving.
