About This Course
This course equips participants with the skills to communicate and visualize fashion design ideas accurately through professional drawing techniques. Learners will develop the ability to capture garments in correct proportion and perspective while incorporating essential design details such as silhouettes, collars, necklines, armholes, seams, trims, closures, and accessories.
The training emphasizes both creative and technical drawing to bridge the gap between design concepts and production requirements. Participants will learn to identify points of measurement, create precise garment production drawings, and evaluate them against given specifications and industry standards.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to communicate their design intentions effectively to stakeholders and sample makers using clear visuals and written descriptions, ensuring accuracy in translating ideas into final garments.

Learn how to select and apply appropriate drawing tools, mediums, and techniques for professional fashion communication.

Build confidence in presenting drawings to management, production teams, and clients for review and approval.
7. Review drawings and design standards to ensure adherence to organisational standards
Evaluate drawings for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with company design guidelines before submission.
Entry Requirements
MINIMUM AGE:
▪ 21 YEARS OLD
SINGAPOREAN / SINGAPORE PR:
▪ GCE ‘O’ LEVEL CREDITS WITH MINIMUM GRADE C6 FOR 3 SUBJECTS, INCLUDING ENGLISH AND MATHEMATICS; OR
▪ WSQ ADVANCED CERTIFICATE IN FASHION TECHNOLOGY; OR
▪ ADVANCED CERTIFICATE FROM ANY PEI; OR
▪ HIGHER NITEC
ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS:
▪ GCE "O" LEVEL CREDITS WITH A MINIMUM OF C6; OR
▪ IELTS SCORE 5.5 OR TOEFL SCORE 46; OR
▪ PASS TEMBUSU INSTITUTE'S ENGLISH TEST
STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE BASIC COMPUTING SKILLS, I.E., TURN ON THE LAPTOP, USE THE MOUSE, DRAG AND DROP FILES, USE ONLINE SEARCH ENGINES FOR RESEARCH, AND BE A COMPETENT USER OF MICROSOFT OFFICE.
