Garment Construction (Classroom and Asynchronous e-learning)
About This Course
This course provides participants with occupational knowledge and practical skills in garment construction techniques and concepts widely applied in the fashion industry. It emphasizes the understanding of garment components, the use of seams and stitches, and their functional application across different garment parts.
With this foundational knowledge, learners will be able to minimize redundant or impractical designs that cannot be replicated in mass production, avoid misinterpretation during sampling and manufacturing, and enhance communication through accurate production specifications.
Delivered through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on activities, this unit equips participants with the essential competencies to analyze stitches, seams, and garment construction processes while applying industry standards and codes effectively.
What You'll Learn
Gain knowledge of stitch types and their standard coding systems to ensure accuracy and consistency in garment construction.
