Motor Driven Systems
About This Course
This course provides in-depth training on managing motor driven systems, focusing on safety, reliability, and operational efficiency. Learners will be equipped to identify and mitigate unsafe practices through structured inspections and adherence to safety protocols such as permit-to-work and lock-out/tag-out systems. They will analyze operational constraints—including load, vibration, and startup conditions—and assess their impact on motor safety and performance.
Participants will build competencies in reviewing and refining operation and maintenance (O&M) procedures, utilizing condition monitoring tools like thermal imaging and vibration analysis to predict failures, and contributing to availability studies. Emphasis is also placed on analyzing performance data, verifying overhaul outcomes, and ensuring post-maintenance compliance with standards.
What You'll Learn
LO1: Identify unsafe practices and inspect equipment to detect potential faults based on safety protocols and operational constraints.
LO2: Support operational procedure reviews and contribute to availability studies using condition monitoring and maintenance philosophy.
LO3: Analyse performance data and verify overhaul procedures according to construction standards and installation methods.
LO4: Specify auxiliary systems and review spare part needs based on commissioning procedures and piping specifications.
LO5: Conduct Site Acceptance Testing and define preservation methods following maintenance methodology standards.
