What You'll Learn

The Certificate in Manufacturing Technology provides participants with knowledge and practical skills in manufacturing processes, tooling design, and digital fabrication. It introduces conventional, net-shaped, and advanced manufacturing processes, covering their capabilities, limitations, and applications. Participants will learn about tooling engineering, including the design and use of fixtures, moulds, and dies for manufacturing, as well as current technologies in tool development. The course also covers additive manufacturing (AM) processes such as Material Extrusion and Powder Bed Fusion, with a focus on safety, post-processing, inspection, and certification. Students will gain hands-on experience in AM workflow, including CAD design, Design for AM, and project work on printed parts.

GCE ‘O’ Levels
3 relevant passes and 1 year relevant working experience:
Subjects/ Min. Grade:
1. English Language: 7
2. Mathematics (Elementary or Additional): 6
3. Science : 6

FT Nitec:
GPA > 3.5 OR GPA > 3.0 and 1 year of relevant working experience

PT Nitec in Technology/Services:
GPA > 3.5 and 1 year of relevant working experience

FT Higher:
Nitec GPA > 2.0 OR GPA > 1.5 and 1 year of relevant working experience

PT Higher Nitec in Technology/Services:
GPA > 2.0 and 1 year of relevant working experience

WSQ Diploma:
Relevant WSQ Advanced Certificate (or higher) with 1 year of relevant working experience and Level 6 for both WSQ Workplace Literacy SOA & Workplace Numeracy SOA.

Without any of the relevant academic qualifications:
At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
