Fundamentals of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Cybersecurity in Industrial Control Systems
About This Course
This course is designed for individuals, including mid-careerists, seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in digital manufacturing cybersecurity, especially Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based industrial control system (ICS) security. The course is designed to train the basic and advanced PLC technologies which involves PLC programming, Node-RED based Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, ICS network architecture, and the PLC based cybersecurity applications using popular cybersecurity tools such as Wireshark, Ettercap, Scapy et al. After completing this course, participants can work as a PLC programming and maintenance engineer, ICS security engineer.
What You'll Learn
By the end of the short course, participants will be able to:
1. explain PLC programming to solve basic industrial control problems
2. develop basic Supervisory Control and Acquisition (SCADA) system
3. use security software to analyse and monitor the ICS system
apply concept of Man-in-the-Middle attack to protect the PLC system from cyber attacks.
Entry Requirements
Participants are expected to have a basic understanding of mathematics and/or physics at a GCE ‘A’ Level
