Practitioner Inquiry: Reflective Practice in Action (Classroom and Synchronous E-Learning)
About This Course
This course equips early childhood professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to carry out Practitioner Inquiry (PI) within their own centres. Participants will be guided through each stage of the Cycle of PI—Identify, Plan, Implement and Evaluate —and supported in identifying a specific problem of practice, formulating research questions, and designing an actionable inquiry plan. Working collaboratively with colleagues from the same centre, they will collect and interpret classroom data using developmentally appropriate tools such as observations, learning stories, and documentation. By the end of the course, participants will present their inquiry findings and propose sustainable improvements grounded in real-world classroom experiences. This course emphasises reflective thinking, ethical data use, and team-based inquiry to strengthen practice and enhance outcomes for children.
