About This Course
The CompTIA PenTest+ course is designed to equip leaners with the knowledge and skills needed in the field of field of penetration testing and cybersecurity assessment, enabling them to identify vulnerabilities, exploit weaknesses ethically, and recommend effective remediation strategies to strengthen organizational security. This is an intermediate course for an IT professional who needs to conduct threat modelling, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing to reveal vulnerabilities or lapses in the existing systems or security mechanisms and evaluate the extent to which systems are able to protect the organisation's data and maintain functionality as intended. In addition, learner can consider to pursue the CompTIA PenTest+ certification which is a globally recognized credential for IT professionals after the course.
What You'll Learn
Learners will be able to :
-Select appropriate penetration testing framework and standards used in threat modelling and secure code review
-Apply networking monitoring and vulnerability scanning tools to Identify vulnerability exploitations and potential attack vectors into a system.
-Conduct authorized penetration tests on complex systems using advanced hacking methods.
-Analyse vulnerability scan results and evaluate the effectiveness of current systems in mitigating the emerging threats.
-Apply security assessment techniques to evaluate current security practices and controls against defined performance parameters
-Develop a vulnerability assessment and penetration testing report to highlight key threats, findings and improvements to enhance system security.
Entry Requirements
Leaners are strongly recommended to have the following skills and knowledge before starting this course:
-Basic Windows administrator skills and the ability to implement fundamental networking appliances and IP addressing concepts.
-Six month' experience in networking, including configuring security parameters, are strongly recommended.
-Minimum Education: Professional Qualification and Other Diploma.
