Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment Basic Level 2
About This Course
The Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment (FIE) Basic Level 2 course builds upon the foundations established in Level 1. Cognitive trainers will deepen their theoretical understanding and enhance their ability to coach or mediate key cognitive functions for children. This module introduces six advanced instruments: Detecting the Absurd-2, From Empathy to Action, Preventing Violence, Reading Comprehension, Know and Identify, and Tri-Channel Attentional Learning. These instruments challenge learners to apply higher-order reasoning, regulate behaviour, develop empathy, strengthen literacy and attentional control, and build socially responsible decision-making skills.
In addition to deepening understanding of Structural Cognitive Modifiability (SCM), Mediated Learning Experience (MLE), deficient cognitive functions, and the cognitive map, participants will explore the Learning Potential Assessment Device (LPAD), classroom management strategies for diverse groups, and the application of FIE Basic with low-functioning older children.
Level 2 emphasises mediation in complex social-emotional contexts and equips participants to extend cognitive training into domains such as conflict prevention, empathy-driven action, and literacy development. With a stronger focus on reflective practice and professional application, participants will be able to transfer mediation skills into both educational and clinical settings.
Educators from schools, cognitive development consultancies, and specialised cognitive intervention centres, who aspire to take on job roles as Cognitive Intervention Specialists or Special Needs Consultants, should aim to progress from FIE Basic Level 1 to 2.
