About This Course

This course equips learners with the critical skills to develop greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting workflows, prepare verification reports, and align practices with the ISO 14064 international standards. Participants will gain expertise in defining lifecycle scopes and emission sources, allowing them to propose targeted carbon reduction strategies tailored to various organizational needs. They will construct lifecycle inventory datasets using product configurations and scope-based emission categories, ensuring robust and accurate GHG inventories. Learners will also master the evaluation of carbon performance by determining uncertainty factors and benchmarking against industry-specific standards. The course emphasizes practical applications such as process mapping, quantification methodologies using software tools, and performance evaluation, ensuring participants are ready to implement, manage, and verify GHG initiatives effectively.

With the increasing global emphasis on sustainability and regulatory compliance, the ability to manage and verify GHG emissions is highly sought after across industries such as manufacturing, energy, logistics, and consultancy. Completing this course can enhance a learner’s career prospects significantly, opening up opportunities in environmental management, corporate sustainability, and carbon auditing. Professionals can leverage this knowledge to support organizational sustainability goals, ensure compliance with international standards, and drive meaningful environmental initiatives, leading to potential job upgrades and greater responsibilities in their roles.

This course is designed for intermediate learners who have a foundational understanding of environmental management systems or sustainability practices and wish to deepen their expertise in GHG accounting and verification."
