About This Course
This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Landscape Sector.
On successful completion of this unit, the participant will be able to:
1. Apply plant morphology to aid in the identification of plant species
2. Apply basic taxonomic principles to assist in plant identification
What You'll Learn
The Plant Identification (Level 3) course is designed for Supervisors in the various landscape sub-sectors. It aims to equip participants with the competencies to identify plants based on comprehensive understanding of taxonomy and classification systems, lead recording and documentation of plant species.
Entry Requirements
Learners should meet the basic entry requirements below:
1. At least 1 year of experience in the landscape industry in Singapore
2. Able to understand and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employment Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 4
3. Able to work outdoor, under the sun, for an extended period of time
4. Be medically fit with no medical or physical conditions that could impede the ability to participate in the course
