PWM-Landscape: Soil and Media Assessment and Remediation (Level 2)
About This Course
This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Landscape Sector.
Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to:
1. Recognise the main types of soil and media
2. Perform soil and media extraction for sample collection
3. Prepare potting media
4. Perform soil amelioration to improve soil condition
5. Manage hazards and risks associated with working with soil and media
What You'll Learn
Entry Requirements
Learners should meet the basic entry requirements below:
1. Preferably with at least 3 months of working experience in the landscape industry in Singapore
2. Have basic knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and policies
3. Able to understand and speak basic English, or at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 2
4. Able to work outdoor, under the sun, for an extended period of time
5. Be medically fit with no medical or physical condition that could impede the ability to participate in this course
