About This Course
This course is designed to equip the participants with the knowledge and abilities that are necessary to manage workplace traffic effectively. It covers areas such as Risk identification, Safety control measures, regulatory compliance, and improvement of traffic-related safety protocols in the organizational environment. This course targets industries such as logistics, manufacturing, transportation, construction and facilities management where vehicular and pedestrian interaction are routine.
What You'll Learn
Learners will demonstrate the ability to apply workplace traffic safety guidelines and regulations by identifying relevant rules, assessing compliance within their work environment, and taking action to correct unsafe practices. They will synthesise WSH principles, organisational protocols, and legal requirements to support a culture of safety and regulatory alignment.
Learners will be able to evaluate the layout and flow of workplace traffic zones including vehicle routes, storage areas, and pedestrian walkways. By identifying physical and procedural traffic safety lapses, they will propose corrective measures to optimise safe movement within work premises and reduce the risk of incidents.
Learners will apply their understanding of traffic control systems, workplace signage, and PPE to identify equipment defects, enforce compliance, and support safe operations. They will assess the placement and condition of traffic signs and devices, ensure appropriate use of PPE, and report maintenance issues promptly.
Learners will demonstrate the capability to identify traffic-related hazards and assess associated risks through workplace observations and scenario analysis. They will interpret hazard data, recommend targeted improvements, and take proactive steps to mitigate risks linked to bus and vehicle fleet movement.
Learners will document and report traffic risks, hazards, and incidents in accordance with organisational requirements. They will prepare clear, accurate, and timely reports that contribute to ongoing safety audits, investigations, and compliance tracking.
Learners will contribute to continuous safety improvement efforts by evaluating the effectiveness of current traffic signalling systems and proposing actionable enhancements. They will draw on observational data and industry best practices to suggest process refinements that strengthen overall traffic safety management frameworks.
