Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) Fundamentals
About This Course
This course introduces participants to the fundamentals of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) based on The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Y14.5 standard; the international language used to define and communicate engineering design intent. Participants will learn how to apply GD&T principles to ensure precision in design and manufacturing and interpret GD&T symbols in engineering drawings accurately to ensure parts are designed, manufactured, and assembled with accuracy and consistency
Proficiency in GD&T is a key skill in Precision Engineering and Aerospace, where accuracy, efficiency, and quality are vital. By mastering GD&T, participants will be able to:
- Support communication between design, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Ensure product accuracy, reliability, and performance.
- Boost their professional profile and open new opportunities to advanced roles in aerospace, automotive, and high-precision manufacturing industries.
This course provides the foundational knowledge needed to bridge design and production effectively to excel in the modern engineering environment.
What You'll Learn
