About This Course
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Understand the basic principles of current interruption in circuit breakers and switches
• Operate withdrawable/non-withdrawable circuit breakers of different types of switchgear
• Operate the different types of switches in a ring main unit
• Understand the capabilities and functions of switchgear supporting devices such as earthing switches and battery charges
• Apply electrical safety while operating on switchgear/ring main unit, in accordance to company’s Rules for Control and Safe Operation of High and Low Voltage Apparatus
• Understand the maintenance procedures for switchgear/ring main unit
