goCMRP (Carbon Management & Reporting Programme) (Classroom & Asynchronous e-learning)
About This Course
As Singapore’s carbon tax escalates to $50–$80 per tonne CO₂e by 2030 and global sustainability disclosure requirements intensify, organisations must develop comprehensive carbon-management capabilities alongside robust sustainability-reporting frameworks.
This programme equips participants with practical skills in greenhouse-gas (GHG) accounting and the IFRS Sustainability Reporting Standards to meet regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.
Building on the established GHG Protocol foundation, the course integrates IFRS S1 (General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information) and IFRS S2 (Climate-related Disclosures) to provide participants with end-to-end carbon-management and reporting capabilities.
The programme is delivered in two phases-classroom-based training followed by an applied project to ensure participants can translate knowledge into practice.
Phase 1: 2 days of e-learning and 3 days of face-to-face classroom sessions. Participants will learn GHG Protocol principles, emission scopes, and boundary setting for organisational inventories, understand quantification and reporting of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions aligned with ISO 14064-1 and Singapore’s regulatory context (e.g., Carbon Pricing Act, LowCarbonSG), and explore IFRS S1 and S2 requirements and how sustainability- and climate-related disclosures integrate with corporate governance and strategy.
Phase 2: 4 half-day guided facilitation sessions where participants apply their learning to their own organisations under expert guidance.
Each session focuses on a key stage of the carbon management and reporting process, including:
-Scoping and setting organisational boundaries
-Data collection and validation
-Data analysis and identification of emission hotspots
-Preparation of an internal carbon summary or disclosure for decision-making and reporting
What You'll Learn
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• Develop comprehensive understanding of greenhouse gas sources, impacts, and measurement methodologies across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions
• Apply GHG Protocol standards to establish organisational and operational boundaries for emissions accounting
• Implement IFRS S1 and S2 requirements for sustainability-related financial disclosures and climate risk reporting
• Create cost-effective emission reduction strategies whilst ensuring compliance with disclosure requirements
• Embark on sustainability reports that meet International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) standards and support decision-making processes
