Specialist Certificate in Semiconductor Devices and Fabrication Technology (Classroom, Synchronous & Asynchronous)
About This Course
This micro-credential course addresses critical skill gaps in semiconductor device processing and fabrication, preparing engineers for advanced roles in a fast-evolving industry. It provides a solid foundation in Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) technology, scaling trends, and power devices using wide bandgap materials, aligned with the Electronics SkillsFuture framework to meet industry competency standards.
Participants will gain end-to-end knowledge of design, modelling, wafer processing, device fabrication, characterisation, and reliability testing. The course equips participants to analyse, design, fabricate, and evaluate semiconductor devices essential for next-generation applications such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), 5G, Electric Vehicles (EV), and Internet of things (IoT). Emphasis is placed on expertise in device physics, cleanroom fabrication, and reliability engineering to meet the demands of miniaturisation, high-performance computing, and advanced packaging.
What You'll Learn
