Sustainable Marine & Offshore Energy Systems
About This Course
This two-day course equips participants with the knowledge and tools to lead the transition toward a low-carbon, climate-resilient future. The course examines the global energy transition, International Maritime Organization (IMO) decarbonisation frameworks, carbon markets, and financial incentives driving sustainable investment. Participants will explore how ecosystem restoration, biodiversity, and social dimensions intersect with engineering design, and learn to integrate renewable and alternative-fuel systems for decarbonised offshore operations. Hands-on sessions in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), digital simulation, and the use of localised climate tools to enable data-driven and resilient Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) design.
1. Energy Transition and Decarbonisation of the Marine and Offshore (M&O) Sector
2. Regulatory Frameworks, Safety, and IMO Compliance
3. Carbon Markets and Financial Incentives
