About This Course
This course is designed for experienced automotive technicians who have a foundational understanding of electric vehicles and wish to specialize in advanced diagnostics using the Autel MaxiSYS Ultra Electric Vehicle (EV) and its dedicated Electric Vehicle (EV) Diag Box. The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with extensive hands-on practice, focusing on high and High-voltage (HV) Low Voltage(LV) systems, Battery Management Systems (BMS), and power electronics. This course would be conducted in both English and Chinese depending on the language background of the trainees. After the completion of the course, trainees would be given the access to Temasek Polytechnic's rich online resources on electric vehicle trade co-developed with our industry partners (Singapore Motor Workshop Association and BYD Academy, Shenzhen Polytechnic University) as well as return to Temasek Polytechnic for self-driven hands-on practice with AUTEL Diagnostics Tools

What You'll Learn
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of Electric Vehicle (EV) high-voltage system architecture and safety protocols.
• Utilize the Autel MaxiSYS Ultra Electric Vehicle (EV) to perform in-depth diagnostics on battery packs and key HV components.
• Interpret advanced data streams, including State of Charge (SoC) and State of Health (SoH) analysis.
• Perform bi-directional charging and controls as well as special functions to troubleshoot Electric Vehicle (EV) issues.
• Safely connect the Electric Vehicle (EV)Diag Box and specialized adapters for off-vehicle battery pack analysis.
• Generate and interpret professional diagnostic reports for customer communication.
• Troubleshoot communication issues within the Electric Vehicle's (EV) Controller Area Network (CAN) bus network using the Vehicle Communication Measurement Interface (VCMI).
