About This Course

The End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programme is designed to develop a cadre of ELNEC-certified trainers who can deliver high-quality, evidence-based palliative and end-of-life education across healthcare and long-term care settings. Building on the internationally recognised ELNEC curriculum, the programme equips experienced nurses and healthcare educators with both deep content mastery and essential pedagogical skills to facilitate ELNEC courses effectively and consistently in accordance with international standards.

Through the TTT programme, learners strengthen their competencies in adult learning principles, facilitation strategies, curriculum delivery, and assessment, while reinforcing core palliative care domains such as pain and symptom management, communication for end-of-life discussions, and compassionate, person-centred support for patients and families. Graduates of the programme are prepared to serve as in-house trainers and champions, enabling organisations to scale palliative care education sustainably, build internal training capacity, and ensure continuity and quality of end-of-life care aligned with national healthcare priorities.
