Manage Strategic Resources for Supply Chain - SOURCING (Synchronous E-learning)
About This Course
Successful supply chains today must bridge critical performance gaps by connecting more interdisciplinary collaborative dots between companies, leveraging the convergence of "man, machine, and methods" to create more insightful and unified decision and action plans for delivering what customers need at the right time. Moving toward a solution-led global economy, the ability to standardize, innovate, and add value throughout the supply chain—starting with procurement—is essential for building a responsive, resilient, and customer-centric system. This course positions procurement as the critical enabler of this transformation, empowering professionals with the strategic foresight and cross-functional expertise to shape agile, data-informed ecosystems. Participants will gain the techniques and frameworks to appraise procurement policies on contract usage, coordinate supplier selection, and lead collaborative supplier strategies that respond dynamically to evolving market needs. Through a practical lens, the course bridges procurement with production, logistics, and supply chain planning, empowering learners to harmonize operations, reduce performance gaps, and drive long-term value through smart, capability-driven collaboration.
What You'll Learn
2. Learners will demonstrate their ability on end-to-end decision-making by actively validating process performance against shifting business priorities, maintaining service levels while managing inventory, and maximizing profit with limited resources. They will enhance their problem-solving skills by aligning stock specifications and supplier approval procedures with appropriate commercial contract types, volumes, and schedules in response to changing customer insight.
3. Learners will demonstrate their ability to align procurement strategy with supply chain transformation into operational execution. Drawing from global frameworks on Industry Practices such as Growth Strategies from Industry Transformation Maps to Drive Advanced Manufacturing in Singapore, the SkillsFuture Framework, and ASCM’s Body of Knowledge (Association for Supply Chain Management), they will optimize core procurement functions—including technical specification validation, supplier qualification, value analysis, and performance management—to drive connected and resilient supply chain ecosystems in response to an evolving global landscape.
