From Idea to Impact: Leveraging IP in Innovation-Driven Markets
About This Course
This course equips PMETs and innovation stakeholders with the capabilities to transform ideas and inventions into protected, market-ready, and revenue-generating assets. It focuses on how organisations can systematically manage and commercialise intellectual property to drive business growth and sustainable competitive advantage.
Participants will build practical skills in environmental scanning and patent landscaping, IP portfolio assessment, protection strategy selection, partner and market evaluation, and the development of implementable commercialisation plans. AI-enabled learning tools are also integrated throughout the course to enhance learning and practical application. Through applied workshops, analytics exercises, and a capstone commercialisation project, learners will strengthen their ability to integrate IP considerations across the innovation lifecycle and deliver sustainable commercial value from IP assets in real organisational contexts.

These learning outcomes are reinforced through applied learning activities, including hands-on exercises, case studies, and a capstone project, enabling participants to transfer knowledge and skills directly to practical IP and commercialisation scenarios in the workplace.
