About This Course
This course is designed to introduce generative artificial intelligence (generative AI) to software developers who are interested in using large language models (LLMs) without fine-tuning.
The course provides an overview of generative AI, planning a generative AI project, and getting started with Amazon Bedrock.
It also covers the foundations of prompt engineering and the architecture patterns used to build generative AI applications using Amazon Bedrock and LangChain.

LO1: Identify security features required to mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities arising from security threats to the application.
LO2: Develop applications in line with agreed specifications and functional security requirements.
LO3: Write APIs using tools and techniques required for coding.
LO4: Write testable & maintainable codes with clean coding methods and best practices.
LO5: Embed UI templates into applications according to design guidelines and specifications based embedding processes.
LO6: Bundle application code and supporting files for deployment using virtualisation as well as containerisation techniques.
LO7: Reuse externally developed components when building applications by applying the syntax of commonly used programming languages and the structures of their respective APIs.
LO8: Perform testing on individual code units to verify that they meet application requirements in accordance with software standards and unit execution testing processes.
LO9: Run routine software tests to identify defects and security vulnerabilities based on commonly-encountered application errors.
LO10: Use debugging tools and techniques to identify, reproduce and resolve application errors.
LO11: Enhance applications by adding new features based on endorsed development tools and methodologies recommendations.
LO12: Modify existing applications in accordance with development standards and requirements.
LO13: Document application design and functionality in accordance with organisational standards for future enhancement

Entry Requirements
• The candidate should hold a diploma and have at least 2 years of experience working as a developer/programmer.
• Candidates who do not meet the above requirements will be assessed on case to case basis.
